Privacy Policy

ToneLineage is an EVRlakes Digital product. This policy explains what information is involved when you use the site, in plain language.
What the site uses today
- Hosting (Cloudflare Pages). The site is served by Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes technical request data, such as IP address, browser/user agent and requested URL, to deliver and protect the site. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.
- Fonts (Google Fonts). Pages load the Anton and Inter fonts from Google's servers (fonts.googleapis.com / fonts.gstatic.com). Your browser therefore sends a request to Google, including your IP address and browser information. See Google's privacy policy.
- No analytics, ad pixels, embedded videos or tracking cookies. The site itself sets no cookies and runs no analytics or advertising scripts. Links to YouTube, Wikipedia and other sources are plain links, not embeds.
Affiliate links
Some pages link to retailers (Reverb, eBay, Sweetwater) and to Ultimate Guitar. Today those links carry a placeholder (aff=TODO) and aren't tracked. Once affiliate programs go live, clicking one may take you through an affiliate network's tracking link (for example Awin or eBay Partner Network). That network and the retailer may set cookies or use referral IDs to attribute a purchase. Their own privacy policies apply. We would receive commission reports, not your payment details.
Newsletter (planned)
The RigLog sign-up form is a preview and doesn't send or store anything. When it launches, we plan to use beehiiv to send the newsletter. You would then share your email address, and beehiiv would process it on our behalf. Sign-up will require you to tick an unticked consent box, and every email will include an unsubscribe link.
Contact and rig corrections
If you email contact@evrlakes.com, for example to submit a rig correction, we receive your email address and whatever you include. We use it to reply and to check and update gear listings. We may publish the corrected gear information and its source, but not your name or email unless you ask us to.
Retention and security
We keep emails and correction submissions only as long as needed to handle them and keep a record of changes. We take reasonable steps to protect information, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Other websites
Links to sources, retailers and tab sites take you to sites we don't control. Their privacy practices apply there.
Your choices and requests
You can ask to access, correct or delete information you've sent us by emailing contact@evrlakes.com. You can block or clear cookies in your browser at any time.
Where data is processed
Our service providers may process data in the United States and other countries.
No sale of personal information
We don't sell your personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Children
The site is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.
Changes
We'll update this page when the site changes, for example when analytics, the newsletter or affiliate tracking go live, and we'll revise the "Last updated" date.
